Materials: Since moving from Wales to Australia in 2004, I have taken canvas drop sheets around to many different painting & decorating/art jobs. Some have disappeared, some left behind and some remained with me the whole time. Some of which, I decided to retire, sugar soap, cut and stretch onto frames and repurpose. I like how the many years of random paint splashes and drops of various colours remain as the background behind the painted image, giving a recycled second purpose for an object which would have normally been discarded as waste, telling it’s own story in the process.
